The Village Plan has outlined areas in need of attention, that affect you, and if we are able to move things along to help out we will. Please bear with us. Village Plan: The Government wants local communities to be more active in control of their neighbourhoods by having a say in the shaping of them. The Plans were announced as part of a Rural White Paper (2000). Whilst they have no formal status as yet, it is hoped that they will influence a wide range of organisations that provide services to rural communities and help shape the future of these rural areas. Barton's Plan has just been completed and has been circulated amongst the Parish Councillors for consideration. A copy has been posted on the website at www.barton-village.co.uk/villplan.html. Hard copies should be available for viewing shortly.
